JOHN & NICHOLE SABLAN
Alison was raised in Turlock by Roman Catholic educated parents; received her early sacraments at Sacred Heart Parish, was confirmed at St. Thomas when it was part of the Catholic Campus Community, and was married at Our Lady of the Assumption, where she and her husband, Scott, have been active parishioners for the past twenty years. They live in Turlock with their three sons. After being a stay-at-home mom for many years, Alison returned to work when her youngest son started school. She has been an English teacher and school counselor and is currently a high school college counselor in a large comprehensive public high school. While thankful for the educational opportunities in the valley, Alison has longed for a school that puts the soul and the Catholic Church’s teachings at the forefront, aligning academic standards alongside it. The classical education model and the vision of Holy Mary Seat of Wisdom Classical Academy will give parents like her a place to confidently educate their children in an atmosphere and community that values holiness and gives them the opportunity to receive an excellent educational and spiritual foundation.
Alison brings her classroom teaching and school counseling experience, as well as her motherly perspective to the table. She’s excited to join the HMSOW family and see the vision of a classical Catholic Education be a tangible option for children in the valley.
